Moving Moving Moving.

We are about 6 months late with this post. The finsh carpenter came and completed the bamboo stair railing and false tread ends, using most of the pieces Ohm's Mom had stained and varnished. We then spent quite a bit of time cleaning, and getting ready to move.
We were glad to see the port - a -potty being hauled off.

The day before moving, the carpet installer came out and put in all of the carpet. He put in the pad and laid out the carpet up stairs. He then ran out of time for the day. After promising to be finished by noon of Moving Day, he went home.
Sure enough, by noon the next day he was finished.
With about an hour to spare before the truck arrived.
Thanks to Jason, Matt, Marcos, Aunty, and Lonnie for the moving help.Although everything was not quite complete yet, we were glad to be back home. We had been out of the house a little over five months and added about 1000 square feet in this little adventure.

Over the next few months, we slowly finished everything else. We have really appreciated the extra space. Ohm had a lot of company over Thanksgiving. There was a total of 17 people staying at the house. While it was a little crowded, we were able to manage without too much loss of sanity. The extra play area has also been handy for getting Ohm's toys out of the downstairs living area. It will also come in handy in a couple months when Ohm's baby sister arrives.
But that should be the topic of a new blog.
